Ford Motor Company Buys Michigan Central Station

Ford Motor Company has purchased Detroit’s Michigan Central Station, which has stood vacant for decades, becoming a symbol of the city’s decline. The sale of the iconic building was announced Monday by Matthew Moroun, whose family has owned the station since 1992. The depot will become a shiny symbol of Detroit’s progress and its success.” Ford said it will announce plans for the historic station on June 19.
