AMC to Buy Europe’s Odeon & UCI in Deal Helped by Weaker British Pound

AMC said Tuesday that it would acquire European movie theater operator Odeon & UCI for about $650 million in a deal helped by the weaker British pound following the U.K.’s vote to leave the European Union.
