In an unusual merger of the personal and the partisan, NBCUniversal vice chairman Ron Meyer, a long-time Democrat, and Hewlett Packard CEO Meg Whitman, a former Republican gubernatorial candidate, will co-host a blue-chip cocktail party fundraiser for GOP presidential candidate and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.
